Technical Considerations for Steel Modular Design and Construction

Modular construction allows for speedy construction and improved quality, particularly in low to medium rise buildings. However as major gains are made through prefabrication, it is imperative that initial designs and plans are accurate and acceptable, as later design changes can be costly and erode the USP, leaving less room for structural alterations

 

This course will explain offer insight into some of the key technical considerations teams involved with modular design and construction should consider  Using the guidance given by Eurocode 3: Design of steel structures as a  backdrop, several areas will be covered leaving delegates with a more rounded appreciation of steel modular design and construction. Throughout the course, tutorials and practical considerations will be used to consolidate the knowledge gained by the attendees and gauge their understanding.
